Belonging House is an international hub for artists and creative people. We have an apartment in Belmont, MA, conveniently located 1 mile from Harvard Square, the Charles River, and 5 miles from the Boston Common. You can get to our house by the Massachusetts Turnpike, public transport, and several other major arteries.
Our place is one of the most convenient and quiet locations in greater Boston. We offer a bedroom with a double platform bed and a desk, shared bath, and light breakfast. This is ideal for someone coming to Boston for a short ministry trip, business, or speaking engagement.
Your host is a world traveler, speaker, and worship leader. We can offer “tender loving neglect” or a more hands on time. In addition, we have several prayer meetings and community gatherings in the apartment throughout the week.
In 2006, Christ “rhymes with wrist” John Otto was called by God to begin writing, leading worship, and hanging out in a local coffee shop.
His adventure, and the people who joined him, eventually took the name Belonging House. Furthermore, after lots of coffee, 6 books, and thousands of emails, Belonging House has become an international “house” for creative culture shapers. Through it all, he has learned to be a son, and bring others into a relationship with God.
Christ Otto holds degrees from Houghton College and Asbury Theological Seminary. Since 1986 he has worked in a variety of media as a freelance artist including decoupage, faux finishing, mural work, sign painting, commercial and retail design, and pastry.
