In partnership with Kingdom Adventure Travel, we invite you to amazing adventures in the Himalayas, Nepal. You will embark on community-focused adventure trips that shatter our comfort zones while empowering underprivileged locals.
The Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is a recently-opened pristine trail in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trail was walked only by shepherds and cattle before 2012. Trekkers follow the ridge above the Modi Khola river draining Annapurna Base Camp.
The trail at first winds through dense rhododendron and maple forests which could be one of the best places for bird watching. The clearings in the forests offer a magnificent view of the Annapurna range. The trail soon climbs above the tree line, offering an undisturbed view of snow-capped peaks, including the most spectacular Mt. Fishtail peak.
The changing colors of the peaks at sunset and sunrise mesmerize the visitors. Eventually, visitors will be rewarded with a view of Annapurna I (8,091 meters, 10th highest in the world) and other peaks seen from Annapurna base camp.
