Join me on a walking tour of central Boston that explores the Christian history of the “Womb of Liberty.” We will go into the Massachusetts State House and walk through neighborhoods on Beacon Hill. Furthermore, we’ll visit the home of Anne Hutchinson and stop by the spot where Dwight L. Moody became a Christian. Then, expect to see how the Great Awakenings impacted the history of the American Revolution and the American Civil War.
This will be a casual and informative tour, with optional side trips to the Back Bay area or Cambridge. Come with comfortable walking shoes and proper attire for the weather. Ample time will be given for exploring shops, coffee breaks, and lunch.
The tour price is $250 for groups of 2-8 for a 4 hour tour. $25 for each additional person over 8.
Your host is a world traveler, speaker, and worship leader. We can offer “tender loving neglect” or a more hands on time. In addition, we have several prayer meetings and community gatherings in the apartment throughout the week.
In 2006, Christ “rhymes with wrist” John Otto was called by God to begin writing, leading worship, and hanging out in a local coffee shop.
His adventure, and the people who joined him, eventually took the name Belonging House. Furthermore, after lots of coffee, 6 books, and thousands of emails, Belonging House has become an international “house” for creative culture shapers. Through it all, he has learned to be a son, and bring others into a relationship with God.
Christ Otto holds degrees from Houghton College and Asbury Theological Seminary. Since 1986 he has worked in a variety of media as a freelance artist including decoupage, faux finishing, mural work, sign painting, commercial and retail design, and pastry.
